Vision: Thomas Palos
As I run the last lap I can feel the sweat running down my face, my heart beating rapidly I lay down in the grass to take a rest. My vision is always blocked out on what is going on around me after a long run. I recover myself by sitting up and looking straight out into the distance as I wipe the salty sweat from my eyes. My vision becomes a bit more clear, but when I come to face it, there is always something blocking my vision.

Elements: Anna Keiser
There is an energy in the changing seasons. An element of fire, as things change so quickly. The leaves are dying dramatically, turning bright shades of red or yellow. Who knew that death could be so beautiful? The blurry aspect of this photo signifies the fleeting flames that a fire has. I stepped away from man-made structures in this concept because this tree was too beautiful.

Color - Scott Kotelnicki
Naturals color - Here I have captured the remnants of last years fall against the green enriched background of this years new growth.
This shot was taken at 8:58 in the morning well past the golden hour of sunrise but because it was with in a shaded area it was able to take on the warm yellows and orange associated with sunrise.
A Canon 7D was used with a 60mm Macro lens f2.8 at 1/100.

Beauty: Moriah Gallagher
Growing up in a family that has had a lot of influence from the fashion industry (designers and models), beauty has always been taught to me as very important for a woman. As I grew older, I was unable to attain this perfect external image that I had always known to be so important, which led to many issues with my self esteem.
I have since realized that while external beauty is nice to look at, allowing yourself to be consumed by it leads a dangerous road. This is why it is represented by the poppy, a beautiful flower that is a key ingredient in destructive substances such as heroin.

Old School: Danielle Saler
Getting back to your roots doesn't just mean listening to old school jams or examining a toy you found in your mother's basement. It means to indulge in your personal nostalgia. Start off with a freshly squeezed glass of good old fashion orange juice. Get back to your roots. Don't know how? Visit this recipe to make your own.
Looking for a great book to read? Five Quarters of an Orange written by Joanne Harris reminds me of this image and is one of my personal favorites.

Pet Peeves-Robert Roe
There is nothing more that chaps my ass, then to sit down on the old porcelain throne, only to find there is no toilet paper. Is it really asking to much to spend an extra 30 seconds to slide another roll on there? I mean what's another few seconds after that hour long marathon dump you just took? Oh...could you also light a match?

spicy: Ariel Elich

This photograph is the continuation of a series I started over a year ago. There is something extremely satisfying about painting a living breathing human. Using the skin as my canvas and the body contours to guide my hand is a wonderful and unique experience. The painting allows me to take the creative experience to a higher level. Then being able to make this temporary art permanent, using photography, satisfies my craving for artistic outlet even more.

Rich - BeƤte Burgess
To be rich in color or to vibrant, strong and deeply saturated with color. Orange is an intense and vivid color associated in the Elizabethan Era as a status of wealth. Enforced by the Sumptuary Laws that only the rich or the affluent upper class were allowed to wear the color orange. Very costly at the time to dye any fabrics but especially the color orange as it was a combination of colors and technique to achieve the brilliant, rich and dramatic color orange.
