When you think funky do you think of a happy time or do you think of a smell that you only dread. When i think of that word i start to think about laundry day and all the stuff i have to sort through. From the darks to the lights to the things i have to throw bleach on. There is nothing more funky than the stench of smelly socks on a hot day , or the sour smell of some wet towels that i have been sitting in the corner of the bedroom that you forgot about.
I like how you took a different direction with the word funky. To me, funky has a more darker feel instead of bright lighting because you don't want funky smells out in the open right? Also, capitalize your "I's".
ReplyDeleteI think it is a funny and interesting way that you decided to take this topic and interpret it. The shot I think shows what you were trying to get across, but I would have loved to see it and connect to it even more. I want to smell the laundry in my mind through your image and I'm not quite there, but it is an awesome thought. I would also say still find a way to be able to connect it to something else within the internet so you can have some hyperlinks in your post. Lastly make sure you don't have the typos like "i" instead of an "I" unless you are choosing to do that and in that case make sure you go even further with it to show that it was a conscious choice.
ReplyDeleteI like your concept, and can completely relate. I hate anything that smells "off". I agree with Justin--perhaps there is a way you can communicate that mood/smell a bit better.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have seen of your work, this photo seems to fit your personality when coming to describing funk.It shows your able to think beyond the box. The only thing I see or should I say " Don't" see is a link.
ReplyDeleteI love the concept since it is different from most of the other ones. The only thing I would change really is using a less distracting background.
ReplyDeleteAlso, capitalize "I".
Agreeing with the other comments about your concept it is a funny and funky concept. However, when looking at your image I get the sense that your white balance is a little off which really forces your background to be the higher contrast point.
