Change: Jared Williams

I once again had an opportunity to work with the beautiful Shirley Clark. Shirley keeps very busy as an actress, model and singer. In less than a week she will leave for Las Angeles to attend AMDA (The American Musical & Dramatic Academy). Shirley plans to work at Disney Land as well. To prepare, I’ve shot her as Princess Jasmine, and this time Snow White. Unsure of what direction I wanted to go with “change” being the theme, I mentioned her showing up with makeup on only one side of her face. Being the trooper that she is, she showed up as mentioned. After many failed attempts to capture a strong concept, I came up with the triptych seen above. To hear Shirley’s amazing voice please view her youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/babyley7 or tweet her @ShirleyJClark.

Texture -Beäte Burgess

Abstract design and implied texture that the human form can create when conforming itself into juxtaposed positions. Organic lines outline the textural surface and suggested tactile feel of the body, revealing the potential essence of who this may be.

MOTION

Apart from my normal fashion photography and consumer portraiture, I decided to start the quarter off with a fun beginning. I'm excited about this quarter and this photograph expresses my feelings almost to a T :) The rest of my work will reflect my main genre's but for now this expresses the idea of 'moving' forward and letting loose.

pleasure spiked with pain

I wanted to do a visual representation of pleasure being spiked with pain. It seems everything that's enjoyable in life comes with a price. Also an excuse to play around a bit with fake blood.
