Beauty: Bianca Bourgeois

Beauty can be defined as striking and attractive, and not ugly. Life is a constant renewal, as well as a circle of life. As I stumbled across these decomposed bird wings, I stared at them with great marvel. Ants had completely decomposed the body of the bird and had left nothing but its wings. As the wings sat in such a peaceful and quiet state, I couldn't help but think that even through death there is beauty, and that beauty can be found anywhere if one tries to seek it-even in the most abnormal form.

Funky: Bianca Bourgeois

When describing the term funky, things come to mind, such as music, bright colors, and soul. While walking down West Colfax, I noticed that the Hispanic culture tended to grow, and it wasn't until I reached an abandoned building and noticed bright and "groovy" colors painted on the side of the building. I was curious what the painting depicted, more specifically who it depicted. I thought the colors were beautiful and radiated a certain kind of soul. I asked a gentleman that owned a pawn shop next door, and he told me that it was created in 1995 in memory of Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla.
Her history as a musician is fascinating, and if you have never heard her music listen to her version of The Hustle.

Mirrors: Bianca Bourgeois

Mirrors have one of the most powerful capabilities, and that is reflecting the truth. Mirrors also have the ability to represent the unknown, and a door representing the future leading to the unknown can leave one  in curiosity. Although the future is always unknown, we are always one step closer to our destiny.

Old School: Bianca Bourgeois

As I searched for an "Old School" concept, I thought what better way to gain inspiration than to visit your trustworthy local Goodwill. As I searched for "Old School" objects, I came across an old, wooden tennis racket, and this is what emerged from a simple find of an antique tennis racket. Meet Richie T. Your typical 70s tennis player.
